  Chapter 1 Intro:      
  We live in a Golden Age of garment technology where there is “body mapping” and “sonic welding of seams”. Sewing machines are so 2004! Experienced mountaineers and skiers know that good winter clothing makes winter outings all the more pleasurable and safer. In the end, your clothing is your primary shelter.
